Al-Ajri: Solution in Yemen Lies in Independent and Sovereign State

Member of the Sana’a negotiating delegation, Abdulmalik Al-Ajri, on Tuesday stressed that “the solution in Yemen lies in an independent and sovereign state.”

“As it (the state) is the only one capable of representing the interests of all Yemenis, and establishing balanced relations with its international and regional surroundings,” Al-Ajri explained in a tweet on his account on Twitter.

Al-Ajri indicated that Islah Party complains that the Saudi-led coalition countries abandoned it, because it had expected them to restore power for it as it was before 2014, and believes that it is the legitimate heir to the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh’s power.

He added that the coalition countries accuse the Islah and their loyal forces in general of failing because of their division, and they want to unite them to achieve the goals of the coalition countries, but not the goals of the Yemeni people.

Al-Ajri addressed the coalition and Islah by saying: “You will continue to exchange blame for no benefit, as Islah will not regain its power, and the coalition countries are not able to militarize the Yemenis in their favor, except for those loyal to them.”
