US aircraft launched an airstrike on al-Qaeda elements in the city of Marib, Media outlets reported on Wednesday, citing well-informed sources.
According to the YPA, a US drone targeted the house of Hamoud Al-Duwail in Al-Hadba area, Al-Wadi district, east of Marib.
The raid left casualties and caused explosions and fire, the sources said, but the exact numbers have not been disclosed.
The attack led to a state of alert among leaders of the Islah party, which controls Marib ity and shelters al-Qaeda leaders in the province, the sources added.
