Sana’a Reveals Qualitative Operations Against Foreign Forces during Armistice

Sana’a forces revealed, on Sunday, specific operations that targeted foreign forces and their loyal factions on Yemeni territory during the months of the truce.

Spokesman of Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, explained that the operations targeted the Saudi and Sudanese forces, as well as what he described as “Yemeni mercenaries.”

The operations resulted in the death of about 36 Saudi officers and soldiers and the wounding of 45 others, bringing the death toll of the Saudi army during the eight years to 10,840 officers and soldiers.

About 40 Sudanese officers and soldiers were killed and 65 others were wounded, out of 9,545 dead and wounded since the war began eight years ago.

Brigadier Saree also confirmed the killing of more than 2,500 “mercenaries” from the Yemeni factions and the wounding of about 5,050 others, bringing the death toll among these factions to 261,245 dead and wounded.

The material losses among those forces amounted to the destruction of more than 1,000 various vehicles during the eighth year, and the number is rise.

Brigadier General Saree was speaking in a press briefing about the harvest of eight years of military operations for Sana’a forces.

Saree’s statements, which identified foreign forces as a legitimate target for Sana’a forces during the next phase, indicate that this year witnessed large-scale military operations, despite its embrace of the armistice that was announced at the end of last year.
