Houthi defense minister threatens Saudi-led coalition

On Thursday, the defense minister in the Sana’a government “northern Yemen”, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, warned that “if the Yemeni people do not regain their stolen rights through a political solution, they will be achieved through other means that match the enemy’s arrogance, falsehood, procrastination, and delay.” This indicates Sana’a’s military readiness to strike the depth of the Saudi-Emirati coalition countries.

“Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni”:

During an extended meeting that included leaders and officers of the naval and coastal defense forces in Sana’a, Al-Atifi stated that if the war returns, it will not be confined to Yemen but will extend to the depths of the coalition countries. He also pointed out that the coalition is still delaying and deceiving the Yemeni people.

The UAE-backed Tariq’s forces withdrew from a number of locations in Hudaydah “western Yemen”, he added, “after they suffered painful blows, and what they call a tactic in withdrawal is to cover up their defeats and abysmal failure.”

Regarding the situation in areas controlled by the coalition and its factions, Al-Atifi stated that “the invaders’ policy in the occupied areas today is part of a policy of humiliation towards the Yemeni people.”

In the same context, leaders of the naval and coastal defense forces in Sana’a affirmed their readiness “to carry out their tasks in protecting Yemeni territorial waters against any hostile threats, regardless of their size.” He added, “Training, qualification, and improving the level of fighters is progressing at a high pace in various military specialties.”
