The US forces have reversed their earlier claim of successfully intercepting an attack targeting the American oil tanker “TORM THOR.”

The US Central Command issued a second statement within 48 hours regarding the events that took place on the twenty-fourth of the month in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
The new statement includes a modification to the previous narrative, which alleged that the US destroyer “USS Mason” had intercepted a ballistic missile while attempting to target the American oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.
The new narrative admits the missile’s achievement of its objective but attempts to downplay it by claiming that it collided with the water.
It also revealed a story different from the one it reported in a statement on February 24th, explaining with the new story that its battleships in the Red Sea had come under attack by drones, claiming that three were shot down and another exploded.
On the twenty-fourth of the current month, Yemeni forces announced the launch of a large-scale operation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden that targeted several US warships, including the oil tanker ” TORM THOR.”
The contradictory US statements reflect clear confusion within the ranks of the US forces and their Central Command.
