UN warns of disease outbreaks through water in Gaza

Israel escalated its air strikes and artillery shelling on Gaza Strip, in conjunction with the ground incursion into the center of the Strip, which resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries, with retargeting homes and residential squares, and three Palestinian journalists were injured by Israeli shelling in Gaza.

The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Gaza warned of waterborne diseases spread in Gaza as temperatures rise, and warned that the displacement of Gazans to Egypt would make resolving the conflict impossible.

Gaza’s government media office put the death toll at 33,634 dead and 76,214 wounded as a result of the more than six-month-old war.

The UN humanitarian coordinator in Gaza said waterborne diseases are spreading in Gaza due to lack of clean water and high temperatures.
