US-Western pricing for the war on Yemen amid the military failure of the battle

On Saturday, the US and Western countries escalated their war on Yemen with new cards coinciding with their failure to subdue it militarily.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Treasury and the European Union announced new sanctions on entities and individuals in Iran under the pretext of “operations in the Red Sea.”

The European Union published a list of Iranian leaders, including the Minister of Defense and the commander of the Quds Force, along with three other entities, alleging their involvement in the transfer of drones and missiles to support Yemen in its battle in the Red Sea.

The US Treasury followed suit by adding four new Iranian entities to the sanctions list.

While American-European propaganda regarding Iranian support for Yemen has been proven false over the past years, especially with the militarization of these countries of the most important shipping lanes in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean, the timing of the sanctions suggests an attempt by these countries to pressure Yemen, using the card of Iran, the most prominent country in the axis of resistance in the region, especially since it coincides with the situation in Iran since the martyrdom of its president and his crew in the crash of their planes.

The economic pressure through sanctions is part of an American trajectory that even included Yemen, with Washington prompting one of the financial transfer companies to halt transfers to northern Yemen under the pretext of a decision by the Central Bank in Aden, which was formulated by the US Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Fagin, in contact with the Prime Minister of Aden, hours before Aden’s economic escalation with the decision to stop the banks headquartered in Sana’a and the new crisis.

These simultaneous steps, along with political steps highlighted by American messages expressed in statements by officials, including Ambassador Fagin, regarding the peace process and their veiled threats of war, indicate Washington’s attempt to pressure Sana’a to halt military operations in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, extending to the Mediterranean and even the Indian Ocean.
