Several elements of al-Qaeda militants were killed on Saturday including a leader in battles of areas that separate Rahba and Jabal Murad districts in Marib province, Yemen Press Agency quoted local sources.
The sources revealed that al-Qaeda elements participated in fighting with coalition’s troops against Sana’a forces and popular committees (Houthis’ fighters) over the past days.
The sources pointed out that sheikh Hussain Kraish who lead armed groups in al-Qaeda, in addition to Salafi gunmen was killed with some of other elements in Rahba district.
The fate of several members of the terrorist organization and militant Salafi leaders is still unknown until now.
