Socotra citizens remove STC military checkpoints

Dozens of residents of Socotra island gathered on Wednesday to remove a number of military checkpoints and sites established by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s forces in the island.
According to sources, dozens of Shu’ab area residents affirmed that they would not allow their area to be turned into a military arsenal belonging to the UAE, vowing to activate protests against the military presence of the occupation.
During the last period, the STC militia have established new military sites in Socotra Archipelago.
