Houthis Deny Preventing Women From Working

Deputy Foreign Minister in Sana’a-based government (loyal to Houthis), Hussein al-Ezzi, on Sunday, denied issuing any official decree preventing women from practicing work.

In a post on his Facebook page, Al-Ezzi called on the media to investigate the reliability and information from the real sources.

He explained that if individual actions occurred, they would represent “a weak reflection of the sediments of an alien culture in our society, which the opponents have worked to strengthen over the past decades.”

Al-Ezzi stressed the government’s keenness to control any such practices and perpetrators must be held accountable.
