Saudi Coalition Targeted 473 Important Archaeological Sites in Yemen

The Yemeni Tourism Ministry revealed that losses of tourism sector exceeded five billion dollars during six years of war launched by Saudi coalition forces on the country.

Acting Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Ali explained, in a press conference, about the crimes of coalition forces and their effects on the tourism sector during six years, that these losses represent the annual tourism revenues, indicating that the coalition forces targeted and destroyed 473 archaeological, tourist sites, monuments, and historical facilities in various provinces.

Al-Ali considered that targeting the archaeological, historical and tourist sites of Yemen surpass international laws, regulations, laws and norms that criminalize the targeting historical sites as a human heritage.
