Sana’a Expelled Saudi Ambassador from Talks in Muscat

Sana’a government national negotiating delegation refused the presence of the Saudi ambassador at the discussion table with the UN envoy and US envoy during the ongoing talks in Muscat, Omani capital.

Activists on social media and media outlets belonging to the Saudi-led coalition circulated on Sunday news about the expulsion of the Saudi ambassador to Yemen Ahmed Al Jaber from the ongoing talks in the, Muscat.

Sanaa’s negotiating delegation refused the presence of the Saudi ambassador as a representative of Hadi’s government at the discussion table with the UN envoy and US envoy during the ongoing talks in Muscat,” said Marwan Al-Ahmadi, a journalist affiliated with Islah Party, in a tweet on Saturday.

Al-Ahmadi confirmed that the Saudi ambassador left the meeting hall after the Sanaa delegation refused his presence.

He indicated that the Sana’a national delegation imposed its conditions on the international community from a source of strength.
