Frequent power outages sparks massive protests in Aden

Hours of repeated power outage in boiling summer on Sunday fuelled angry protests in most parts of Yemen’s southern city of Aden, according to local sources.
The protesters blocked a number of the main roads, suspending traffic in al-Sha’ab area in the city and causing problems for the people.

They also burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the Saudi-backed Hadi government due to the deterioration of essential services.

The participants demanded the local authorities to put an immediate end to the long and unscheduled load-shedding to the power.

The sources pointed out that the citizens were beaten when the Security Belt’s militia of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council dispersed the protests
