Traditional Building Methods in Old City of Sana’a Documented

The General Authority for the Preservation of Cities and Historic Monuments and the Social Fund for Development on Wednesday concluded a workshop for documenting and reviving traditional building methods in the old city of Sana’a.

The workshop, which was funded by the European Union through UNESCO and lasted for a month, aimed to train 17 participants on traditional construction methods in old Sanaa and to introduce them to how to use plaster (al-Noura) in painting and decorating works.

The Authority’s undersecretary, Amat Al-Razzaq Jahaf, referred to the importance of the workshop in documenting traditional building methods in the old city of Sanaa and contributing to supplying the field of work with specialists in this type of construction.
