Sana’a Forces Achieved Major Advance in North of Marib

The north front of Marib province has witnessed rapid field developments in the course of the fighting between Sana’a forces backed by the popular committees (Houthis’ fighters) on the one hand, and Saudi-led coalition forces and al-Qaeda elements on the other, local sources said.

Local sources in Marib province confirmed that Sana’a forces fought during the past hours the fiercest battles against the coalition forces and elements of terrorist organizations, during which they were able to counter a major attack on the direction of Camp al-Ruwaik east of al-Alam and the area of al-Kanaies from the western side of the al-Alam Al-Abyad.

After fierce fighting, the army forces made progress on the ground, taking control of some new location in the northwest of the” Al-Alam al-Abyad” front.

According to the sources, the army forces also advanced towards the areas of “Al-Mail” north of the military camp of “Sahn al-Jin”, where fierce fighting is currently taking place between the two sides amid reports of major collapses within the coalition forces and al-Qaeda.

This comes a day after the Sana’a forces secured the “Al-Jadafir Desert” east of Jawf province and cut off coalition supply routes in  north of Marib.
