Yemen is not a test field for UN envoys: Al-Houthi

Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, directed a fiery message, on Tuesday, to the United Nations after excluding the last UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths.

“We do not want Yemen to be a field of testing for United Nations envoys,” Al-Houthi said in a tweet. “It is enough for the Republic of Yemen; it has become a field of testing for American and European weapons.”

Last week, the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, left his post and was appointed within the international organization as the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs.
