Sana’a Announces Arrival First Gasoline Ship Since beginning of 2021

Sana’a-based Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) announced on Tuesday the arrival of the first gasoline vessel, of those held by the Saudi-led coalition, at the port of Hodeida since the beginning of this year 2021.

YPC official spokesman, Essam Al-Mutawakel, revealed in a statement this evening that the ship “Sea Hart” loaded with 27,893 tons of gasoline arrived at the port of Hodeida, as the first gasoline ship to reach the port since the beginning of this year, after six months of its detention by the coalition.

Al-Mutawakel said that the Yemeni citizen incurred more than two billion Yemeni riyals in fines due to the delay resulting from the coalition piracy.

He referred that that the rest of the ships are still detained by the coalition, despite obtaining UN permits.
