The Minister of Tourism in Sana’a government Ahmed Al-Hassan Al-Amir stressed the importance of concerted efforts to promote the tourism sector in Yemen, as it is one of the most important economic resources for the state treasury.
This came during his heading a meeting in Sana’a on Tuesday to discuss issues related to activating domestic and foreign tourism and addressing the repercussions that the tourism sector has experienced since 2011.
The Minister of Tourism explained that the Saudi-led coalition deliberately destroyed the country’s infrastructure in its various sectors, including the tourism sector, to destroy the national economy.
The meeting approved the preparation of plans and perceptions of the ministry for the current year, within the matrix of the national vision, and the draft budget for the current year, as well as the report on the completion of tasks and obstacles for the period January-June 2021.
