Sana’a Airport Ready, No Choice but to Open It: Ruwaishan

The Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs in the Sana’a government, Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, said that the growing problem with regard to Sana’a airport is humanitarian and has nothing to do with the political or military situation.

Al-Ruwaishan indicated during an extraordinary meeting to the Ministry of Transport in Sana’a, to announce the technical and security readiness of Sana’a International Airport to receive flights, and that “Sana’a is the capital of Yemen Republic and its airport is the accredited international airport.” we have no options but to open the airport, even if the coalition continues for another seven years,” he said.

He explained that the passengers transfer to the airports of Seiyun and Aden, which is even outside the control of legitimacy make them vulnerable to extortion, repression, prevention and returning them, stressing that the travel right is guaranteed to every individual.

The transport minister in Sana’a government reiterated the airport’s readiness to receive flights, calling on international community to pressure on coalition to open Sana’a International Airport.
