Air bombing targeted on Sunday a camp of Islah Party militants loyal to exiled president Hadi in Modiya district and left 40 dead and wounded, local sources reported.
The sources noted that the bombing was likely carried out by Emirati planes in support of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), while no party has claimed responsibility for carrying out this attack so far.
For days, parts of Abyan have witnessed clashes between the Islah militia and the STC’s forces, which left dead and wounded on both sides.
