Six Dead, Many Injured in Armed Clashes in Mocha

At least six people were killed and several others wounded on Tuesday in armed clashes between factions loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the center of Mocha city, west of Taiz province, local sources reported.

Local sources said that the clashes erupted between members of the so-called “Tariq Afash” forces and gunmen from the so-called “Tehama Resistance” inside a popular market for selling “qat”, leaving more than six dead and several wounded, including civilians.

Various light and medium weapons and offensive bombs were used during the clashes in the market, the sources added.

According to the sources, the violent clashes left a state of panic and terror among the market-going citizens.
