UN Envoy in Oman to Discuss Yemeni File

The UN Secretary-General’s special envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, discussed on Saturday with the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations, Mohammed bin Awad Al-Hassan, the latest developments in the Yemeni file.

According to the Oman News Agency, the meeting touched on the international efforts to restore security and stability to the war-torn country.

Grundberg expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Muscat to restore stability in Yemen, confirming the United Nations’ keenness to listen to the Omani viewpoint on this file.

The Sultanate of Oman has played a prominent role in the Yemeni crisis since its start through hosting several rounds of dialogue and receiving many regional and international officials concerned with the crisis.
