The battles taking place on the outskirts of Marib city between Sana’a forces on the one hand and the Saudi-led coalition forces and Al-Qaeda militants on the other witnessed rapid developments on Wednesday, local sources reported.
The sources said that the Sana’a forces launched a military attack towards the main stronghold of Al-Qaeda organization in the areas of ‘Abida’ tribes in Marib, advancing on the sites of Al-Qaeda led by Sheikh Ali bin Hassan Gharib in ‘Al Shabwan’ area.
The fierce battles are still ongoing between the two sides, the sources added.
