Sana’a Forces Approach Oil Fields in Shabwa

Fierce confrontations continued on Thursday between Sana’a forces and the Saudi-sponsored forces in the desert separating the districts of Usaylan and Bayhan, west of Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, local source reported.

The source said that Sana’a forces were able, during the confrontations, to take control of Al-Mojabjab area and advance towards the positions of the coalition forces in ‘Al-Akad’ area, where violent battles are taking place between the two sides.

According to the sources, the fierce confrontations between the two sides extended towards the oil fields of the American “Hunt” company.

This comes hours after the coalition forces launched a failed military attack towards the positions of the Sanaa forces in ‘Al-Saq’ area, in the hope of separating the Bayhan Shabwa district from the Harib Marib district.
