Once Again… Sana’a Frustrates Abu Dhabi’s Ambitions

It is a war, not a picnic…This is how Sana’a dealt with it over the past seven years. On the contrary, the calculations of coalition, which underestimated the capabilities of Houthis, described the war in Yemen as just a picnic and will end in two weeks. According to foreign reports.

Exclusive-Alkhabar Alyemeni:

The alliance later realized its miscalculation and Saudi Arabia, which announced its leadership to the coalition, was the most losing since the beginning of the war, due to its borders connected to the borders of Yemen, which formed a deep wound in the kingdom’s body, where the forces of Sana’a penetrated to reach the outskirts of Najran, as it was subjected to missile and drone attacks, it targeted vital installations and strategic targets. While UAE took advantage of its geographical distance from Yemen to act as a small Sparta in Yemen, it recruited 90,000 fighters, according to the statement of its deputy chief of staff, Issa Al Mazrouei, and pushed them to extend control over the southern provinces, and the coasts of Taiz and the islands of Socotra and Mayyun, then it made it easier, so it tried to advance to control the city of Hodeida.

On the other hand, Sana’a forces were working to develop their military capabilities, in particular, ballistic missiles, drones and naval capabilities, with qualitative progress in developing these capabilities UAE is not far from being targeted.

On December 4, 2017, UAE was targeted by a winged ballistic missile that hit Barakah nuclear reactor. In 2018, two oil fields were undisclosed targeted according to the British website Middle East Eye, as well as, Abu Dhabi airport was targeted publicly in addition to targeting Saudi sites on UAE border.

These operations were messages that Abu Dhabi realized their danger, especially after Sana’a forces published a video scene documenting the moment of targeting Abu Dhabi airport, which was denied by UAE, then it reinforced by declaring that it had dozens of targets in Emirates, and that one strike would cost Abu Dhabi a lot.

And because UAE is a country based on investment and tourism, these messages were a threat to the fate and future of the emerging country, therefore, it decided to hold an urgent meeting on June 20, 2019, according to Anadolu Agency, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi attended it, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Emir of Dubai, Prime Minister of UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

According to the agency, Al Maktoum told the participants that UAE would be devoid of foreign investors in the event that a single missile fell on its territory, and you won’t be able to keep Asian workers.

The meeting resulted in a decision to announce the withdrawal from Yemen. Sana’a doubted the sincerity of Emirates intentions, and the leader of Anssarallah, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, advised her in a letter to be honest and to be serious for her economic interests. Stressing that continuing would be dangerous for her.

According to information obtained by Alkhabar Alyemeni, UAE informed Sana’a after that it would withdraw from Yemen, but then it procrastinated and withdrew its forces on the ground while it maintained a partial participation in the air operations and its backed forces on the ground, despite this being an achievement calculated for Sana’a, in favor of dismantling the coalition, as the New York Times said at the time, “Yemen war has become a quagmire for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after Emiratis withdrew from areas in Yemen.”

Recently, UAE has returned to the fore, as if it had forgotten the letters addressed to her, as it pushed the forces loyal to it to Shabwah and tried to advance towards Al-Barh city, after withdrawing from Hodeida, and Sana’a did not wait long, it directed a direct threat to strike deep targets in UAE, then renewed the threat in practice, in a press conference, in which Sana’a forces revealed the details of seizing an Emirati ship carrying military equipment in Yemeni waters, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, a spokesman of Sana’a forces, stated, “We have the appropriate options and our forces, with their multiple formations, have strength and will, which makes them ready to respond to any aggressive escalation.”
