Shabwa: Coalition’s Recruits Demonstrate to Demand Salaries

About three thousand of the UAE-funded “Shabwani Elite” protested on Tuesday in front of coalition’s leadership headquarters in Ataq city of Shabwa province, demanding UAE to pay their salaries.

In the rally, organized in front of the headquarters of the Saudi-led coalition forces in the city of Ataq, the participants demanded UAE forces to pay financial dues after being dismissed and their names dropped from the cash rewards lists.

They affirmed that UAE abandoned them in exchange for its interest in those brought in from the West Coast, vowing to escalate against the coalition if it did not respond to their demands.

The protesters decided to stay in front of the gate of Ataq Airport, which the UAE takes as the headquarters of its forces in Shabwa, rejecting the half-solutions, until achieving their demands.
