Coalition Began to Establish New Military Bases in Mahrah

Saudi-led Coalition forces on Tuesday began moves to establish new military bases in Mahrah province, eastern Yemen, Yemen News Portal reported, based on testimonies of well-informed sources.

Sources in Hadi’s government confirmed that the Saudi-UAE coalition forces are moving to establish a new British-Israeli base near the coast of al-Ghaydah.

The sources pointed out that coordination is underway to establish another joint Saudi-British base in the province, to accommodate foreign forces coming recently to Mahrah.

Coalition forces, led by Britain and Israel seek to expand their influence in Yemen’s southern provinces in order to take full control over the international shipping routes and imposing their dominance over natural resources.

The moves come less than 24 hours after new batches of Israeli officers and experts arrived in Mahrah province, along with Egyptian forces.
