Sana’a Announces Presence of Dangerous Radiation as Result of Coalition Bombs

The Executive Mine Action Centre in Sana’a announced the presence of dangerous radiation as a result of the internationally prohibited bombs left by Saudi-led coalition in the Al-Sabah area of Sana’a province.

Director of the center, Ali Safra, affirmed in a press statement on Thursday, that the Ministry of Defense inspected the collection area of coalition’s bomb remnants in the Al-Sabah area and found some dangerous radiation.

Safra called on citizens not to enter the area targeted by coalition warplanes in Al-Sabaha a week ago due to the presence of these radiations.

He pointed out that these bombs were dropped by the coalition in many areas on Hodeida and Bayda, Mestaba area of Hajjah and the bombing of the Ministry of Interior building in the Gaza Strip previously by Israeli forces.

On Wednesday, the center said that the investigations into the crime committed by the coalition by targeting the area for collecting cluster bombs and prohibited weapons in the Al-Masjid area in Al-Sabah, belonging to the Bani Matar district, west of the capital, Sana’a, on February 18, showing that the coalition had used the prohibited US-made GUB-31 bomb in targeting the area.
