Head of the General Council of the Peoples of Mahra and Socotra, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Afrar, on Tuesday revealed an international intelligence activity in Mahra province, eastern Yemen.
Sheikh Afrar stated that the UAE is leading an international intelligence activity in Mahra, indicating that the council is closely monitoring those moves, which he described as “malignant” and targeting Mahra.
While presiding over the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Council, Afrar made it clear that the people of Mahra would not allow the passage of these schemes and would stand against anyone who targets security and social peace in the province.
He called for an expanded meeting in the coming days with the aim of preserving Mahra’s cohesion, security and stability.
