Sana’a Unveils Large Prisoner Exchange Deal with Coalition

Head of Houthis-run Prisoners’ Committee in Sana’a, Abdul Qadir Al-Mortada, revealed on Sunday a new prisoner exchange deal with the Saudi-led coalition.

Al-Mortada said on Twitter that UN-sponsored deal would target 1,400 prisoners from the Sana’a forces and popular committees (Houthis’ fighters), in exchange for 823 from the other side, of whom 16 Saudi prisoners and three Sudanese.

He affirmed that it included also, the Saudi-backed exiled president Hadi’s brother, Nasser Mansour Hadi, and the former minister of defense, Mahmoud Al-Subaihi.
