The United Nations on Sunday welcomed Sanaa initiative to suspend military operations, coinciding with calls for international parties to pass the initiative to achieve peace and stop the war on Yemen, which is entering its eighth year.

In a tweet on his official account on the Twitter platform, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said that he is continuing to communicate with all parties to reach a truce during the month of Ramadan.

Grundberg affirmed that he welcomes all steps taken by the parties in this direction, in reference to the Sanaa initiative to suspend military actions.
