The General Electricity Corporation (GEC) in Sana’a announced on Tuesday its incapability of supplying electricity to hospitals, water pumps and telecommunication centrals in the capital Sana’a, Hodeida and some provinces.
The central power plants in Ras Kathib in Hodeida and in Haziz of Sana’a run out of fuel and are about to be completely out of service, said a report issued by the Corporation.
It called for an urgent intervention and quick orders to the relevant authorities and specialists to speed up the procedures for entering and unloading the fuel ships.
