Abdulsalam: US Move in Red Sea Contradicts Washington’s Claim of Supporting Truce

The head of Sana’a Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam has affirmed that the American move in the Red Sea contradicts Washington’s claim that it supports the truce.

“The US aims to perpetuate the state of ‘aggression’ and siege against Yemen,” Mohammed Abdulsalam said in a tweet.

In early April, Abdulsalam welcomed the UN-sponsored humanitarian truce announcement by the UN envoy to Yemen for a period of two months.

The truce, meant to halt all military operations in the country and bring the foreign military invasion to an end, came into effect on April 2.
