Al-Mashat Meets Omani Delegation

President of pro-Houthis Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, Mahdi al-Mashat, has on Sunday met with the Omani delegation, visiting the country as part of Oman’s efforts to bring peace to Yemen.

During the meeting, the discussed the current developments on the Yemeni scene, the political process, the course of the recently announced truce and the need to fully implement its provisions, as well as the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to achieve comprehensive peace in Yemen.

The meeting touched on a number of files related to the humanitarian situation that the Yemeni people are going through, and the difficult economic conditions caused by the US-Saudi war and the blockade.

In the meeting, Al-Mashat welcomed the visiting Omani delegation to the capital Sana’a, stressing the Yemeni Republic’s appreciation to the leadership and people of Oman for its positive role in supporting the Yemeni people.

President of Sana’a SPC reiterated his firm position on a just and honorable peace that the Yemeni people desire and achieve their aspirations for freedom and independence.

The meeting was attended by the head of Sana’a delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam and Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, member of the delegation.
