Hodeidah: 275 Citizens Killed by Coalition Cluster Bombs, Landmines

The Executive Center for Mine Action in Sana’a revealed that more than 275 civilians have been killed in Hodeidah since the beginning of 2022 due to the remnants of the Saudi coalition, and the expansion of the areas contaminated with landmines and cluster bombs.

The demining program revealed that the UN Development Program has reduced the assistance provided to the program, and the UN has suspended fuel allocations without providing solutions to continue the program’s humanitarian activities.

The center holds the Saudi coalition responsible for preventing it from importing mine and bomb detectors, and for causing civilian casualties as a result of the remaining areas contaminated with mines and cluster bombs.

The Center renewed the call for the Humanitarian Coordinator to distance the center’s humanitarian work from the political agenda, and called for concerted efforts to protect civilians from the danger of mines and cluster bombs.
