Sana’a Reveals Conditions for Extending Armistice

Supreme Political Council in Sana’a on Monday confirmed that the renewal of the armistice requires a commitment to pay salaries of all employees and return services that Saudi-led coalition cut off to double the suffering of Yemeni people.

This came during the meeting held by the Council, headed by the President of the Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, to review the latest political developments related to the armistice and the existing communications.

The Supreme Political Council explained that it had initiated the opening of an account in the Central Bank’s branch in Hodeida, and the revenues of the port of Hodeida were deposited into it to contribute to the payment of salaries to all state employees, while the other party and the United Nations did not commit to filling the gap for the payment of salaries.

The Council stressed the need to fully open Sanaa International Airport and Hodeida Port.

In the meeting, the Council condemned the desecration of Makkah by the 13th Zionist channel, considering it a provocation to the feelings of Muslims.

The Council reviewed reports on government efforts to prepare for the rainy season, and to account and treat the damage caused by rain and torrents, which Yemen is witnessing these days.
