Saudi Coalition Seizes Mazut Ship: YPC

“The Saudi-led coalition seized a fuel ship despite obtaining entry permits from the United Nations, in a new violation of the temporary truce,” Sana’a-based Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) said on Thursday.

The company’s official spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said “The Saudi-led coalition seized the mazut-loaded ship (Golden Eagleii), which belongs to the electricity sector; despite it has been inspected and given a UN permit to enter the port of Hodeida.”

He considered the ship detention an addition to the list of arbitrary practices and violations committed by the coalition, in light of the silence of the United Nations, whose envoy since the start of the armistice has not committed to removing obstacles and fulfilling the entry of the number of ships agreed upon.
