The Saudi-backed government in Aden confirmed on Monday, an American deployment along the eastern coast of Yemen, this comes after a controversy sparked by images of Marines in the coasts of Hadhramaut.

The Minister of Transport in Maeen government Abdul Salam Hamid sent a memorandum to the authorities affiliated with his government in Shabwah, Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah, asking them to facilitate an American survey on the coasts of those governorates overlooking the Arabian Sea and Aden Gulf, all the way to the Indian Ocean.
The minister justifies the extensive survey of those coasts under the pretext of “exploring opportunities” to establish seaports and ports, although those provinces are already crowded with idle ports.
The document contains the names of several American experts among them is the director of a company known as Slanayeh, which is unknown. It is alleged that the company is looking for investment opportunities.
The document comes a few days after a member of the Presidential Council authority, Faraj Al-Bahsani, revealed a dangerous scheme managed regionally and internationally to seize the wealth of Yemen oil crescent.
Al-Bahsani said during a meeting with leaders from Hadhramaut, that American and European companies have put the provinces of Hadhramaut, Shabwah and Al-Mahrah in its mind. It is awaiting the acquisition of its oil and strategic sectors.
