This coincides with Washington throwing its last papers in order to extend it.

The American channel quoted from Gulf experts and officials, including Abdul-Khaleq Abdullah, advisor of UAE President, Mohammed bin Zayed, as saying that OPEC’s decision to reduce oil production was a natural result of Biden’s policy that violated the principle of oil for security, noting that the Gulf states are trying to pressure on the United States to save it from the quagmire of the war on Yemen.

The experts pointed out that the failure of the armistice would represent a crossroads in the relationship of Americans with Gulf. Abdul Khaleq Abdullah did not hide that Gulf countries will take in response to any move in Congress to retaliate against UAE and Saudi Arabia’s decision to cut production.

The channel also quoted on experts as describing Biden’s reaction to the decision to cut production as “reasonable.”

US media’s shedding on the truce in Yemen comes with Biden administration dispatching the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, on a tour in the Gulf that includes Qatar, Emirates, Kuwait and Egypt.

The start of Barbara’s tour comes in parallel with a new tour by the US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, according to what US State Department said.

The truce is going through a dangerous turn with the passage of a week since its end without an official announcement of renewal, amid reports of differences over important items, most notably salaries.
