Prosecution Starts Investigations into Smuggled Leukemia Medicine Case

The Public Prosecution Office in the Capital Sana’a on Sunday began investigations into the case of smuggled leukemia medicines, which caused the death of 10 children and health complications for a number of children at the Leukemia Center at Kuwait Hospital.

Public Prosecution Office Judge Yasser al-Zandani said the prosecution has summoned a number of officials and employees whose names were mentioned in the administrative investigations by the Ministry of Health in order to continue the investigation procedures.

Al-Zandani pointed out that this case is receiving direct attention and follow-up by the Public Prosecutor to identify the culprits and whoever was behind the crime in order to punish them and achieve justice.
