Arrangements for Al-Ahmar’s Return to Sana’a

Hamid al-Ahmar, a prominent leader in Islah party, began arrangements to return to Sana’a. This coincides with the fall of the last strongholds of the party in eastern and western Yemen.

Diplomatic sources reported that Al-Ahmar had contacted with leaders of Anssarallah movement, “Houthis.” In an attempt to arrange his return and the return of senior leaders from the first echelon of the party.

The sources indicated that the two parties are still negotiating on the basics of the current stage, and the party’s role in contributing to Yemen liberation from foreign occupation.

The recent contacts were not new, as Al-Ahmar had previously pushed, through Qatari mediation, to return some of his companies in Sana’a Al-Ahmar moved within a path that Islah leaders began to plan with the coalition’s decision to its last strongholds in Yemen.
