Saudi Coalition Seizes Diesel Ship Soprano Serene: YPC

The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) in Sana’a reported that the Saudi-led coalition detained a diesel ship and prevented it from reaching Hodeida port, despite it being cleared in Djibouti.

YPC Official spokesman Issam al-Mutawakil said that the Saudi coalition, perpetuating the siege, detained the diesel ship “Soprano Serene” and prevented it from reaching Hodeida port despite being subject to inspection.

He called on humanitarian organizations and the international community to put pressure on the Saudi coalition and prevent it from piracy on oil derivatives ships.

al-Mutawakil stressed that the United Nations is a partner of the coalition in piracy on fuel ships, as it is the one that directs the ships to move to the detention point and the place of piracy.
