Exclusive-alkhabar alyemeni:

Sources in Aden government reported that Al-Alimi, who was summoned by Saudi Arabia at the end of last week from his temporary residence in Cairo, refused to discuss the issue of Maeen dismissal at the present time. Noting that Al-Alimi, who is currently retreating in a Riyadh hotel, threatened to resign from his position and rejected what he considered “arm-twisting” by STC.

The Saudi ambassador had informed Al-Alimi of the need to dismiss Maeen by another southerner to calm STC supporters, which will be stripped of its most prominent stronghold in Aden and dismantled its factions.

Al-Alimi considers the dismissal of Maeen at this time as an attempt by the transitional to impose its control over the government’s decision and strengthening the authority of Al-Zubaidi at the expense of the rest of the members.

The Presidential Council is currently witnessing a new crisis that it prevented to hold a session that Saudi Arabia had arranged in Riyadh. According to what was reported by “Akhbar Al-Youm” newspaper and quoted from Islah party and Ali Mohsen, the former deputy of what was called “legitimacy.”

The sources indicated that the crises inside the council widened with Al-Alimi’s refusal to dismiss Maeen, the failure to dismiss the governor of Shabwah, in addition to pressures to dismiss the governor of Marib.

The newspaper described the situation of the council is going through as a “storm” and expected its disintegration. It cited statements by the leader of the transitional council, Nasser Al-Khubaji, in which he expected that Al-Alimi would not return to Aden, confirming the end of the council’s authority.
