Clashes broke out on Tuesday morning between Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia and heavy transport drivers in Mualla city of Aden province.
Local sources said that it was scheduled today to hold elections for a new leadership of the Union of heavy transport drivers, which was to be held in Al-Mualla, but clashes occurred between the STC militia and heavy transport drivers because STC militants are trying to impose candidates by force.
The sources pointed out that on the first days of the elections, the transitional militia fired at heavy transport drivers, prompting heavy transport drivers to protect themselves and clash with the militia.
