Armed tribesmen riding a military vehicle opened fire on a point belonging to the UAE-funded “Shabwa Defense” militia on Tuesday in Nissab area, west of Ataq city, the center of Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, local sources reported.
This comes after the tribesmen plundered a number of military vehicles belonging to the UAE and fled with them to different areas, according to the sources.
On Monday, the “Shabwa Defense” militia had kidnapped eight Islah Party elements at a point at the entrance to Ataq, who were returning from the city of Marib.
