At least three militia members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were killed on Wednesday and three others injured in an explosion of an explosive device in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
According to local sources, the attack targeted a military vehicle of the UAE-funded “Third Support Brigade” of the STC on the public road, killing three members and wounding three others in Al-Mahfad area.
The attacks with explosive devices have been active against the STC militias since they announced the so-called “East arrows” operation against the Islah Party militants in Abyan in early September, leaving 17 militiamen dead and wounded.
