Disclosure of Volume of Yemeni Oil Exports for this Year

Aden government revealed the amount of crude oil that was exported for this year.

Senior sources in the Oil ministry revealed that nearly eleven million barrels of crude oil have been exported since the beginning of 2022, at a value of more than $1 billion.

The sources pointed out that despite “Houthis” ban on exporting oil however, the government had already exported that quantity, and its proceeds were transferred to accounts in the National Bank of Saudi Arabia.

The disclosure of these huge sums comes at a time when Aden government is trying to blackmail the international community by marketing allegations of its bankruptcy under the pretext of Sanaa’s decision to stop exporting oil, which was imposed by force recently.

Aden’s government exports nearly one million barrels of Hadhramaut oil through the port of Al-Dhaba, and nearly a million barrels of Shabwah and Hadhramaut oil through the port of Al-Nashmah. There are also other smuggling outlets, most notably the port of Qena, which Sana’a has placed under surveillance; it targeted it earlier, in addition to refining it in factories of Marib and selling it on the black market for huge sums.
