US Congress Discussing a “Yemeni” Peace Project amid Expectations of Return to War

United States began a new movement in Yemen’s file, in parallel with the regional movement, in confirmation of Washington’s continued efforts to abort any peace attempts.

Exclusive-alkhabar alyemeni:

Members of Congress began discussing a “peace project” in Yemen led by Washington Institute for Strategic Studies. The most prominent foreign decision-making centers for Washington and the intelligence.

Diplomatic sources said that the project is being led by 40 members of Congress and is expected to be submitted for approval.

Washington seeks to pass the project during any prospective Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations, which could undermine any efforts for rapprochement between the Yemeni parties.

Sana’a had launched a campaign on social media during the past hours under hashtag #America_Enemy_of_Peace, in an indication to its rejection on any American efforts to pass a special agenda under the name of “peace projects” in Yemen.

The United States is heading towards the prospective peace that it stipulates between Sana’a and Aden after its departure from the negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh. However, observers expect that US steps will affect the expected agreement, which will be officially announced to extend the armistice.

Meantime there is American expectations on the return of Yemen war.

The United States continued beating the drums of war in Yemen, despite signs of optimism about reaching a new agreement, which reflects American fears about peace in the country that has been subjected to war and siege for eight years.

US intelligence has published new warnings to Saudi Arabia about what former officer Bruce Riedel described as the danger of Anssarallah movement, “Houthis.”

American Brookings Institution, which specializes in intelligence research, reported statements by Riedel attacking “Houthis” in it, he tries to stir up Saudi Arabia’s fears by re-calling another “Hezbollah” banner on the border.

Riedel expected the battles to return on a large scale, expecting what he described as “Houthis” to resolve the battle in their favour.

Riedel was commenting on reports that Sana’a and Riyadh would soon reach a new agreement to extend the truce.

Riedel doubted the possibility of achieving this, considering the cease-fire during the past months was unexpected in an affirmation to Anssarallah’s mixing of Washington’s accounts in the region.

America is marketing the scarecrow of “Hezbollah” again as part of a misleading campaign through which it aims to abort the efforts of rapprochement between Sana’a and Riyadh, which are led by the Sultanate of Oman.

There is an indication to Washington’s dissatisfaction with the negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh, which are led by the Sultanate of Oman, despite the attempt by American politicians, led by Joe Biden, to claim action to stop the war.
