Ministry of Health in Sana’a: More than 100,000 cases await the expansion of medical trips destinations

There are over 100,000 cases waiting for the expansion of medical treatment destinations, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Sana’a government, who said on Saturday that “medical trips to Jordan are insufficient, and treatment for some cases is available in other countries.”

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Anis Al-Asbahi, the Ministry spokesman, explained to Al-Masirah TV that “only 2,400 patients were able to travel to Jordan for treatment throughout the entire year, while the number of medical cases requiring treatment abroad exceeds 30,000 cases, and this number is increasing at a rate of 100 cases per week, the majority of which are incurable diseases.”

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the entry of drugs is disastrously and arbitrarily prohibited, particularly for those with cancer and thalassemia. It continued by saying that the coalition nations “realize that they are causing death to tens of thousands of patients by closing the airport, restricting medical trips, and preventing the entry of medicines.”

In a statement to Al-Masirah TV, Al-Asbahi urged the Ministry’s spokesman to “increase the number of medical trips to Jordan” while also emphasizing that “Dozens of deaths occur on a weekly basis due to delays in opening other medical destinations.”
