Saudi Arabia gives approval for the attack on Al-Mokha, and tribes begin to encircle it

In light of escalating worries about an impending attack on his main bastion on the southwestern outskirts of Taiz, Tariq Saleh, the commander of the pro-UAE factions on Yemen’s western coast, cut short his trip to Abu Dhabi today, Tuesday.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

According to an informed source in his office, Tariq arrived aboard a private plane to Al-Mokha earlier today, even though his visit was scheduled to last until the end of the week. His sudden return came as his activists revealed their fears of a possible attack on Al-Mokha.

As the deadline for Tariq’s withdrawal from a newly established camp in Bab al-Mandab approaches, the areas surrounding Al-Mokha and Bab Al-Mandab in particular are witnessing an armed mobilization of the Al-Sabiha tribes.

Accounts linked to Ammar Saleh, such as “Abu Kanaan Saleh,” claimed that Saudi Arabia was supporting the mobilization. They did this in response to Tariq’s recent address, in which he spoke about regional and international efforts to impose solutions on Yemen that no one can confront.

The recent establishment of the “People’s Resistance Council” in Marib, led by Hamoud Al-Mekhlafi, whose soldiers are based in Al-Turbah, just a short distance from Al-Mokha, which is a part of Taiz province, only served to increase Tariq’s concerns about a potential attack on Al-Mokha.

It was evident from Al-Mekhlafi’s statement, which confirmed the alliance with Saudi Arabia, that the objective is Bab Al-Mandab. The council includes leaders from the Al-Sabiha and the Islah party in Taiz.

A new regional struggle for dominance is taking place in the Bab Al-Mandab region, which overlooks the world’s most important sea passage.
